Leadership Development Camp (LDC) 2022

By Chairpersons of LDC’22

After almost 3 months of rigorous planning, the Leadership Development Camp (LDC) 2022 came to a close. We hope that this is just the beginning of a new chapter for all our leaders, who have forged numerous friendships and learnt meaningful lessons that will follow them throughout their years in RV.

For the first time in three years, LDC was carried out physically as a three-day camp in our school campus from 16 to 18 November 2022. Student leaders from different councils and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) came together to plan the camp for our juniors from various leadership backgrounds.

The theme of LDC 2022 was: Lead, Discover, Connect. By Lead, our leaders have learnt to take the first step towards guiding the people around them. Through Discover, our leaders now have an open mind to be curious about other leaders and to use their findings to develop their personal skills. To Connect, our leaders have been given the opportunity for them to collaborate with other leaders and to forge a common identity, drawing them closer as RVians.

Despite our juniors coming from various CCAs and councils, we have instilled both a sense of identity and a recognition of their collective purpose to serve the student body in our RV leaders. Moving forward, RV leaders will continue to take the lead to serve and overcome challenging processes for the benefit of students in RV.
